Smoke Detectors Save Lives!
We’ve teamed up with the State Fire Marshal’s Office to get free smoke detectors into Oakland homes. If you need one, we can help so your family is protected. We will even come install it for you!
Why it matters: working smoke alarms cut the risk of dying in a home fire by about half, yet many fire fatalities happen in homes with no alarms or with alarms that don’t work. Want a free detector or more info? Contact the Oakland Fire Department and we’ll get you set up.
