Oakland boasts a Board of Aldermen consisting of five elected officials. These men and women discuss and vote on various items brought before the Mayor and Board of Aldermen during Oakland’s monthly town hall meetings. Regular meetings of the Board of Mayor and Alderman are on the 3rd Thursday of every month unless otherwise posted. Citizens are encouraged to attend and voice their concerns and opinions.
